An absurdist sci-fi anime series brought to you by the duo Mamoru Oshii and Satoru Utsunomiya.

The Yomota family consists of a typical modern nuclear family: a salaryman father, Kinekuni (42), a stay-at-home mother, Tamiko (38), and their only son, Inumaru (17). One day, out of the blue, a beautiful girl named Maroko, who claims to be Inumaru's granddaughter, shows up at their doorstep. She explains that she used a time machine to come and meet her admired ancestor, Inumaru. From this moment on, the disintegration of the Yomota family begins...
